The song of today, produced with pride for the dawn of tomorrow...

When wound using the long-reach bird-form key when the drawer is removed, the bird is actuated once the central card drawer is pulled open, revealing your stack of business cards neatly sprung-loaded within the compartment.  The bird rises with grace as the bird lid is opening, with moving metal beak, wings and whole body from side-to-side to the continuous and synchronised birdsong, finishing when the bird disappears under the closing lid at the end of his performance.

The bird with intricate and layered feathered plumage in glorious bright plum, delicate mustard yellow and deep midnight blue, the neck with a band of bright green iridescence for the highlight, rising through seamless foliate chased and pierced gilt grille to a busy matrix of scrolls and unions, highly polished gilt interior for full bird reflection, petit-baullé border with plain ground.

In the slight-elongated decagonal case finished in the fine stained maple veneers. It has an ebonised moulded edge above further maple sides, a flush drawer front to the same with turned gilt knob handle, above matching ebonised moulded plinth base.
The Reuge long-reach bird-form key retained in the countersunk compartment to the underside next to the key winding hole, and the inset makers plaque detailing model and serial numbers on ebonised ground.
